Petunia & I took my birthday off from work and spent the day hiking through Ithaca’s oldest cemetery. One of my favorite spots. Nothing like surrounding yourself with dead people to gain some perspective on life.
Here’s Petunia opening up MY birthday presents! Fuzzy little scoundrel!
An epic bucket list moment for me: Hall & Oates at the Lakeview Amphitheater in Syracuse, NY. They rocked my world! I had so much fun with Danielle, Brian & Slater.
Enjoying the fireworks at Sunset Park in Cayuga Heights. Peter & I had a blast (pun intended)! It was such a chill, relaxed 4th. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
This is where the lavender for all my products comes from. I pick it myself at this event and I look forward to it every year. Plus, I buy very cool stuff from local vendors.
Ahh…the little devil turned one. He’s the best…and the worst! Ha! He’s definitely spiced up things in my household.
Work has really improved this summer and our new intern has definitely helped. She wanted to eat her way through Ithaca and we’ve been selflessly assisting her with that goal. It’s been a fun and delicious adventure. Plus, it’s been a great way for all of us to bond and get over our differences.
I’ve been wanting to try the Fat Kid Burger for almost a year now and thanks to Elyse, I got my chance. I was so afraid they wouldn’t let me substitute in a veggie burger but they didn’t have an issue with it. Oh man, it did not disappoint! This might be my death row meal. I finished the entire thing, plus fries, plus a beer and I even picked veggies off my coworkers plate. I’m a never-ending pit!
Elyse & I are getting ready to unhinge our jaws!
Since I hit 40, I’ve been experiencing a wee midlife crisis. Attending this workshop at the Omega Institute was part of moving through this crisis. This workshop was an amazing, inspiring and wonderful gift that I gave myself. It was nice to be provided with the time and space to be creative and surround myself with people who want the same thing.
Learning from him and Allyson Grey was such an inspiring experience.
I love the pieces that I drew and I’m slowly finishing them. The workshop was an opportunity to work with mediums that I wouldn’t normally and I’m finding that I really enjoy watercolors–which I usually find intimidating.

Danielle, Brian, Slater & I were back together again enjoying delicious microbrews at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse, NY. This is becoming an annual event for us and it’s so much fun! It’s also gratifying to see all the animals that I do fecals on everyday. Yup, it all comes back around to feces for me. Sad but true!
